2019 Executive Board
Madison is a senior studying Supply Chain and Operations Management as well as Corporate Environmental Management. Outside of VTAP, she enjoys spending my time bouldering, kayaking, and camping. She is looking forward to the upcoming tax season!
Aaron is a junior studying MIS and Marketing with a minor in Business Analytics. Next summer, Aaron will be interning for West Monroe Partners as a Management Consultant. Outside of business and taxes, Aaron enjoys traveling, trying new coffee shops, and collecting vinyl records. On campus, Aaron is also involved as a Carlson School of Management Ambassador, manages the Minnesota Consulting Group, and serves as VP Programming for the Beta Theta Pi Fraternity.
VP of Communications
Sydney is a sophomore at the Carlson School of Management, majoring in Finance and Accounting with a minor in Sustainability studies. Outside of classes and VTAP, she enjoys curling and exploring Minneapolis.
VP of Finance
Connor is a senior pursuing a major in Accounting and a minor in Business Law. Next summer, Connor will be interning with KPMG as an audit associate, and in the fall will begin his master's degree at the University of Southern California as part of KPMG's Master is Accounting and Data Analytics program. Outside of business and taxes, Connor enjoys spending time at the lake, fishing, swimming, and wakeboarding. Outside of classes, Connor also works at the University of Minnesota's Tax Management Office as tax accountant aid.
VP of Human Resources
Heather is a senior studying finance and accounting. This past summer, she interned at U.S. Bank in the External Reporting Department, and she has recently accepted a full-time offer with them. Besides VTAP, Heather is involved with SAFA on campus.
VP of Recruitment
Jack is a senior majoring in accounting and finance with a minor in economics. He is currently the president of his fraternity on campus, Sigma Pi, and works part-time as an accounting intern for Field Nation, a start-up of roughly 150 employees headquartered in downtown Minneapolis. He was originally born in Scranton, Pennsylvania, but spent most of his childhood in St. Louis, Missouri. He is a big St. Louis sports fan and loves to hike, camp, and read in his free time. This will be his fourth year in VTAP, where he has been lauded for having the “Longest Eyelashes.”
VP of Rejected Returns
Seamus is a sophomore prospectively studying marketing and possibly minoring in Accounting. He is also the one person to choose the University of Minnesota over his home state, California’s, UC schools. Outside of VTAP and school, Seamus scours the twin cities for new coffee shops and abuses his rock-climbing privileges at the RecWell.
VP of Sponsor Relations
TJ is a junior studying Accounting and Finance. Next summer, he will be interning with KPMG in their business tax services. TJ also serves as the Head of Finance for the Carlson School Accounting Club. Outside of school, he enjoys watching Netflix and eating food from around the Twin Cities.
VP of Technology
Daniel is a junior majoring in Management Information Systems with a minor in Business Analytics. Outside of classes and taxes, he loves football (soccer) and is a proud supporter of Manchester United. On campus, Daniel is also a senator for the National Society of Black Engineers and was a Gopher Global Leader this past summer.
VP of Training
Faizan Haider Dewan
Faizan is a senior studying Finance and Management Information Systems. He is currently pursuing a career as a Business Analyst but wish to get into the investment world eventually. He loves watching and playing basketball (this is the year his team is winning that sweet sweet intramural chip, he can feel it). He is also an avid fan of the NFL and has been known for giving unsolicited fantasy football advice.
VP of Training
Brett is a Senior studying Finance with minors in Accounting and Business Analytics. He currently works on the Global Operations team at SS&C Technologies and aims to begin a career within management consulting when he graduates in December of 2019. On-campus, he also serves as the Vice-President of the Student Accounting & Finance Association. When not working on taxes, Brett enjoys playing board games with friends, exploring local breweries, and watching the Packers beat the Vikings.
