VP of Sponsor Relations

Aaron Blanchard

I am a sophomore double majoring in Management Information Systems and Marketing with a minor in Business Analytics. Outside of taxes, I enjoy exploring new places by hiking or biking, playing guitar and clarinet, and listening to good music on vinyl. Here at the U, I am involved in my Fraternity, Beta Theta Pi, as Philanthropy Chairman, the U of M Symphonic Band as a Bass Clarinetist, and the Undergraduate Consulting Club as a Minnesota Consulting Group Member. I can't wait to change people's lives again by doing their taxes!

VP of Technology

Brady Kafka

Brady is a senior at the Carlson School of Management studying Accounting and Risk Management Insurance. He serves as the VP of Technology. After undergraduate, Brady plans on pursuing a Masters of Accountancy and sitting for the CPA exam. His dream job is to work as a Forensic Accountant. Outside of school, Brady enjoys filling out Schedule Cs and sacrificing animals in worship to the IRS.

VP of Training

Brendan Wise

Brendan is a senior studying accounting and business law. This is his fourth year as a member of VTAP, and this year he is serving as VP of Training. Outside of classes, Brendan enjoys rock climbing and hiking. Brendan is also involved with the Center for Outdoor Adventure and Escape Climbing.

VP of Rejected Returns

Brett Swannell

Brett is a junior studying Finance with minors in Accounting and Business Law. Brett is the self-proclaimed World's Biggest Fan of 'The Office' and enjoys reading, watching Seinfeld, and other things typically reserved for middle-aged dads. After undergrad, Brett wants to go into investment banking.

VP of Rejected Returns

Brianna Ammerman

Brianna is a junior (yeet) studying accounting with a minor in management information systems. Outside of school, Brianna enjoys hiking, biking, mocking, and playing sudoku. Brianna was voted 'most likely to have a countdown to tax season' by her coworkers. Brianna's dream job is to work for the FBI or own a goat and llama farm.

VP of Finance

Daniel Waddell

Daniel is a senior studying Management Informations Systems with a minor in Finance. He is the Co-VP of Technology. After graduation, Daniel hopes to pursue a career in Management Consulting or IT Audit. Outside of school and VTAP, Daniel collects records and bakes cookies.

VP of Recruitment

David Hsu

David is a junior studying accounting and business law. Outside of his love for all things accounting and tax related, he enjoys running, reading old science fiction novels, and playing too much video games.

VP of HR

Kriti Nivsarkar

Kriti is a senior at the Carlson School of Management studying Finance, Accounting and Business Law. She is serving as the VP of HR for the tax year 2018. Outside of classes and VTAP, she enjoys creative writing and dabbling in photography.

VP of Communications

Madison Peyer

I am a junior studying Supply Chain and Operations Management and Corporate Environmental Management. Outside of VTAP, I am involved in the Outdoors club and the Undergraduate Supply Chain club. I also enjoy doing outdoor activities like bouldering, kayaking, and camping in my free time.


Matthew Boehne

I am a senior studying chemical engineering. Outside of doing taxes, I enjoy fishing, hunting, golfing, and playing hockey. On campus I am involved in the Fraternity Beta Theta Pi, the honor society Tau Beta Pi, and the Undergraduate Consulting Club. I look forward to the upcoming tax season and I hope many new students will join our team!

VP of Operations

Olivia Vande Hei

Olivia is a senior studying Accounting and Spanish Studies. She is the VP of Operations for tax year 2018. During her free time, Olivia enjoys baking and exploring coffee shops around the Twin Cities.


Victoria Anderson

Tori is a senior at the Carlson School of Management studying accounting. She is one of the Co-Directors of VTAP for the upcoming year. Her interests include water skiing, hammocking, and hanging out with friends.

Disclaimer: If you have a complicated circumstance and fail to inform us prior to your appointment, we reserve the right to turn you away from our site. While VTAP strives to handle every tax return in a timely manner, some may take us a bit longer. If you feel that your return includes a unique or complicated circumstance, please contact us ahead of time. We will advise you if your return is something we can prepare, and if it is, we will work to better prepare for your appointment. It is better to ask a question ahead of time, instead of having to be turned away at the office. When in doubt, ask!
